“I have struggled for many years with my walk in Christ. I have had resentment and bitterness toward God for taking a couple family member before I felt it was there time at that point in my life. I have recently with the encouragement of a few friends, Trip Leach and Ryan Stephens, that I look up to because of their faith in God, my wife, and the people in my life group from church have been trying to find my way back to where I need to be. Nick asked me to run in his 5k back in September and I said I would run. That morning I woke up and was not really feeling up to running but something told me I needed to go run. I really did not know what to expect when I got to the race or what PNW was really all about. Listening to the testimonials from the parents of the children affected by childhood cancer made me realize that my resentment and bitterness towards God all these years was unfounded. Seeing how Nick and the rest of the PNW members can have so much faith and love in the presence of God was something I wanted to seek. Nick asking me to come run the race that day and what I witnessed was one of the many reasons lately that I decided on September 29 to ask the Lord for Salvation.”

“We are also new to PNW. But, in just a few months, we have been showered with continuous support! It's a blessing to have someone to regularly send you encouraging Bible verses and to check in with you on, at least, a weekly basis. It is obvious that Nick's heart is fully invested! I am in awe at how he manages to tirelessly give of himself! If his heart represents that of the rest of those involved with PNW (&, I'm it does), I can only imagine what Our Father will accomplish through this organization! Thanks, PNW!!!”

“I cannot even begin to say how very grateful my family had s for PNW foundation. Nick and Rhonda have been nothing short of supportive of us through this new normal we have been forced to face..
even though people get back to work and all the bills still remain. These people PNW have helped our family immensely and we are beyond grateful and thankful that they were able to do so.
They pray for all of us endlessly. They do not pull any punches. They do EVERYTHING in their power to help those families that struggle with the afterness of this tragic journey.
We as parents tend to overlook bills or set them aside or pick and choose each week which ones we can pay and which has to wait.
They have helped us to stay above board and continue to strive for better tomorrow’s.
They taught our family that it’s ok to be down and out. Someone hears you and will help if it’s in their power to do so!!
Thank you to your entire team and staff for helping our family and giving us hope in a fun time.
We won’t lose faith but you did help to restore it humanity. We’d not be where we are today if it weren’t for all of you. Very grateful. Very thankful. Very blessed !!”

“Our family is grateful for the work of the praying ninja warriors! Our son Phoenix was diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma last July, at 2 years old. Hepatoblastoma is a one in a million pediatric liver cancer. Phoenix was stage 3. His liver was engulfed with tumor and it had spread into his veins. Unfortunately, we were told they would not be able to remove his tumor successfully. After four rounds of brutal chemotherapy, he was placed on a transplant list for a new liver. On October 12, just 4 Days after being listed, we got the call that Phoenix would get his transplant that day! He courageously overcame every obstacle in his path. Just 10 days after his transplant, he was released from the hospital. He then had to complete two more cycles of chemo. This month he gets the port removed from his chest! He has shown an enormous amount of strength and resilience, and faith, always reminding mommy and daddy he was okay... We still pray everyday for the family that was so selfless in their child’s last moments, donating their child’s organs so that our child could go on living.... Nick has checked in with us and followed our sons journey the whole way through... He is now free of cancer and back at home playing in the river and hiking the mountains he missed so much. We tell him everyday what a miracle he is, and we remember all his friends who completed their battles. We are eternally grateful for all the prayers that held us up through this journey.”

”My name is Shannon Westover, mother to Savannah and Austin Westover. My 13 year old daughter Savannah was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma, a rare cancer normally found in the long bones of the arms and legs. Savannah was an even more rare case because hers was located in her left pelvic bone, sacrum, and L-5 vertebrae. She also had lung mets. Traditional therapy made her go chemo toxic, so she was moved to a study. This cancer was extremely painful from the start and only got worse by the day. She was diagnosed on May 3, 2017. She did not believe in God. She would get angry the more people that were sent to pray for her. Then Nick came into our lives. He came over, then the amazing thing happened. She asked him to come back. I think she wanted to believe, but she just did not. Then one day she asked Jesus to come into her heart. She had also done this with my sister in law
Yvonne. She decided she wanted to be baptized. By this time she was 14, her cancer had spread to many places, and she was in so much pain, and wheelchair bound. I also chose to be re-baptized with her. Nick worked everything out. Brandon baptized me, and Nick baptized Savannah. She passed July 20th 2018. I was thankful she was no longer in pain and suffering, but loosing her hurt more than I could process. I was devastated and hit my own dark rock bottom of brokenness. I read and read and searched for ways to help myself. I found While we are waiting for bereaved parents, and I got my answer. There is hope for all in our children’s stories. And when i broken down so low i can not do this without God. He grieves with me. He helps my son who has suffered greatly since his sisters death. God just asks us not to sin in Grief. There is no time limit on grief. Nick and PNW did not leave us when Savannah died. They have stood beside us and kept us close in prayer. I know it is time to share our story.”

“Praying ninja warrior has helped our family tremendously in our time of need. Caitlyn Rayne was diagnosed with Dipg June 8, 2018 and earned her angel wings January 27, 2019. During and after they have helped and prayed for our family. We will forever be thankful. They also sent Caitlyn for a back stage pass to the Zoo. We are so thankful for all they have done and the continued support. “

“I am fairly new and still learning about the praying ninja warrior team, but I was connected to Nick through another family. My son had a cord blood transplant and this lady said when a child needed prayers she always reached out to Nick because he so diligently prayed for them and that he does! Nick makes sure to share my posts and specifically ask for people to pray for my son as he does for so many other children. The work that he and praying ninja warrior team do is so selfless and they have such tremendous faith and we can not thank them enough! May God Bless you all as you continue to bless others! “
Brittany Shelton (Bentley’s mom)

“My nephew was diagnosed with dipg December 11th 2018. I got in touch with Nick from prayer Ninja Warriors a month after he was diagnosed he called me personally and I shared with him a little background about my sister and her twin boys Nick listen to what I had to say he encouraged me he prayed with me and told me he would Faithfully pray for Jordan on a daily basis. Because of Nicks encouragement and faithfulness in praying for my family I know i am closer to the Lord and stronger in my faith. Praise God!!! I know without a doubt the Lord brought nick and praying ninja warriors into our lives for a purpose and i am truly thankful ❤☝️ i continue to lift up nick and his wife as well as the whole team of praying ninja warriors. “I’ve had many people over the years ask me at one time or another how I know Nick from the Praying Ninja Warrior Team. They ask if he’s related to us. I think the reason why I get these questions is because people have a hard time grasping the fact that someone not related to us would be so diligent in prayer for us. This very fact speaks to where Nick’s heart and compassion for these kids really is. There are two words that stand out to me when I think of Praying Ninja Warrior Team and those two words are Dependable and Accountability.
When Emily was in some of her worst of times during her bone marrow transplant, I could always count on Nick to post asking for prayers for her. There was one night in particular that I can remember. Emily had one of her worst nights ever. I slept maybe an hour that night, but mostly cried all night worried about her. I remember looking down at my phone and seeing a daily post from Nick about Emily and something right then gave me peace about our situation. I completely believe that God uses people and situations to speak to us. Another night, I remember being worried about Emily’s platelet recovery being so slow. I opened to a post that Nick had shared from another bone marrow transplant survivor asking if anyone else had low platelet counts post transplant. It always just seemed as though I could depend on Nick to be in prayer for Emily always and always at the right time, led by God. This has happened a number of times going on three years now. Dependable……yes, indeed.
My other word would be accountable. We knew Nick from Arkansas through our kids love for the game of soccer. Emily’s older sisters and Nick’s son played at the same club when we lived in Arkansas before moving back to Florida. Sports was our connection. Nick, upon reading that Emily was sick, was inspired to train and compete for some pretty hard core races, all while doing it for Emily. What he may not realize is how he in fact inspires these kids to train and fight in the battle they are in with their specific disease. This was the case for Emily. We run, train, exercise, walk, etc…… just to keep fit. Emily understands that God healed her and feels it is her responsibility to take good care of the body that He healed. She, like Nick, loves nothing more than to exercise for the kids. If she feels her exercising motivates other kids to get up and get moving, then she is happy and more motivated herself. Nick’s passion to train for the kids helps hold Emily accountable to do the same.
To sum it all up, Praying Ninja Warrior Team and Nick have a true passion for helping to be right beside these kids and their families no matter what they are going through. They are there to Praise the Lord with us at every step along the way. The support they show and the love they share cannot be matched. We are very thankful for Nick’s obedience to Christ to pray for a little girl named Emily. “
Stacy Ayers (Emily’s mom)
“As a co-worker of Nick's I have watched his passion for these kids turn into a focussed effort by the PNW TEAM. Their Intercessory prayer to God the Father brings strengthing to the kids and families going through one of life's toughest times. Sometime ago I watched my friend and his family struggle through this after he was diagnosed with a terminal illness at at young age . Although Josh lived a decade longer than his doctors said was possible the disease finally won and he went home to his maker. Support like PNW shows through their prayers, investment, and time with the kids is the real life "Hands and Feet of Jesus". For all who are called to support PNW please first and foremost Pray for their kids/team, second if you can participate in the "Race " or contribute. Please do ! The funds are used to support those families who need it most. “

“Praying ninja warrior where to start! As many know prayers are so powerful and is in prayer where we can fight our biggest battles. Praying ninja warrior started praying for our daughter without us even asking him and right away we saw the passion this team has for all these kiddos and how selfless they are. Nick not only had prayed for our daughter and for us as family but also had been spiritual guidance for me and a huge example of being humble and pray for others even if they have asked us to. It’s amazing to see the time he invests in each of these kiddos and I know for sure every time they pray God listens. God continues to use praying ninja warrior for His testimony. “
Linda Heard (Faith’s mom)
“I just wanted to take the time to say thank you for all you do....my faith has not been the best lately and I dont even know why but one day something just clicked off in my head and I felt and still feel angry...angry as to why this happens to so many innocent kids...I dont see the reasoning behind it. I was never in a home that raised me in church. We believed a walk in the woods was time with God and we prayed there. I just want you to know I read your posts and messages and I appreciate you bringing awareness and praying for all the kiddos. “
Samantha Dent (Preslee’s mom)
“A few years ago I was approached and asked by a coworker Nick to pray for a little girl named Emily that turned into putting up a board at work that had various prayer requests being put onto it namely children with cancer and other illnesses we would pray for and Nick would add to this list he and I had a conversation once about plan A and maybe having a plan B we concluded that there was only plan A which is to pray for and reach out to the families going through this time of darkness and perhaps be a light of hope however big or small it would be Nick has turned this into the Praying Ninja Warrior Team it has prayed for invested in and sown the love of God into the lives of so many people and has definitely inspired me to be a better person and to walk a better Christian walk on a lot of levels it reminds me we’re not here just for ourselves on a daily basis so I appreciate what PNW stands for and is continually showing in actions of what is now a nonprofit 501C to God be the glory may God bless and prosper the whole PNW team love y’all “

“PNW has helped my family by being a shoulder of faith and strength to lean on. PNW has helped my family by being there no matter the time or reason. Providing hope truth love and finances. PNW has inspired my family to pray for and help others. To pay it forward! “
Roshanda Lett (Elijah Lett’s Mom)
“The main way PNW has impacted me has been knowing for sure that we are covered in prayer as we make decisions and pursue our calling. It is a huge encouragement just knowing that someone is praying with us—because face it, well meaning people say they will pray and sometimes don’t. prayer is the arms that hold us up and open doors for spiritual transformation when the forces of darkness trip us up and try to keep lost people in bondage. It is the most important part of any ministry and we are so grateful for faithful prayer warriors like you who come alongside us and do battle through prayer. “

“PNW has shown me a lot about death and what it means to put your hope in God and his will for your life, whatever that may be. Nick shows consistency in praying for the kids on the team and also working out and making them the focus of the workout. God has put a vision in nicks mind and he has been following it and i have personally seen the hand of God move in the ministry nick has been called to. Very thankful for his friendship and prayers for myself and my family!! “
